Feedback Episode 11-09

Welcome to this month's feedback episode! On the whole, it was positive, and there was lots of it. I do have to give special mention to one or two good emails I received - one from Ignatio, and the other from David.

After the feedback, I rant a bit about the direction I'm taking with Character Development, and my reasons for doing so.

A couple of interesting books and a film which have inspired me this month:

I'm also interested in hearing your opinions on making my tutorials available in other forms. Have a listen to the podcast for details, and get back to me.

hey flawedprefect:)
took me a while to check the newest episode due to a isp problem during the weekend :(..
was very informative esp.i like that u mention and reply to the comments:)
the cam rig already been put to use in one of my projects and will be very useful for the future:)
regarding the speed of the tutorial..well it was packed and quick however it wasnt too fast to work along just hit the pause button now and then and everything went fine...
seen your fan art art pic over at moontown, it was cool (thx for introducing moontown in a previous blog, i wasnt much aware of cool webcomics)

regarding the tutorial bundle.i think the idea is good to bundle them up and make em available with blend files for reference and so on, however i think that to sell the necessary ammount to make it a financial success it needs a broad exosure within the blender tutorial scene i think, at the moment the tutorial sites on the web are getting packed with great tutorials such as yours...some try to specialize in bundles and memberships so maybe teaming up with a distributor wich makes em available as downloads/ dvd package etc. might maybe be of less financial risk ...
i could imagine buying one however i'm usually very careful about shipping stuff since germany demands quite a decent ammount of VAT:S (around 20%)...2.5 is at the door aswell so hopefully even more people will use blender by then,

I liked the part on the character development, I 'm not at the point to animate good stuff yet but i'm aware that there are ways to plot a story and characters with simple means as long as the characters have a convincing motivation and background wich fits into the story one imagines.
as soon as there'S a feel for the story/cast things are getting much more easier to plan and workarounds for problems get more obvious...
stil i m baffled at the ammount of preproduction/plot and storyboarding needed even to make a simple anmation wich is convincing in style and editing:D...
looking forward to the next podcast esp. to the tom dell'aringa interview on marooned and maybe on whats coming up with wishtales too

sorry this went so large, was a great podcast much appreciation for putting all that effort and ideas into this!!
Best regards and have fun!

Wow - so much to digest there, Nixon! I might address this in next month's feedback ep! I truly appreciate the points. Lots of stuff to consider here.
