I sometimes like see what other artists are up to online. I'll open up iTunes music store, or one of the podcast directories, or browse the local comic book store to see if a random artist catches my eye, and is sensible enough to leave a website or blog address on one of the pages so I can further research them.
That is how I stumbled on Ryan Estrada - a cartoonist and adventurer who has traveled the world, and keeps a blog of all his freelance cartoon work.
- Ryan talks about how he got into adventuring
- Leaving Michigan to teach English in Korea
- Publishing books about "real life" events
- Volunteering in Thailand in the Tsunami aftermath
- Run-in with a plot worthy of an 80's feel-good movie
- A vidcast series about Ryan's adventures. Submitting missions!
- Moving to Mexico
- Cartoon Commune, Life's a bluff, and other websites where you can see Ryan's work
- Landing the paying job
- Second series of vidcasts set in Mexico - STAY TUNED!
